About Bucky in my Dreams

We have been drawn to abstract paintings and the freedom creating such pieces brings.  Not bound by known shapes or lines, letting our hands be our guide as the paint marks the canvas the image unfolds.  There are scrapes, drips, splatters, lines, and brush strokes. Some are intentional and others happy accidents, but they come together to form a piece that has endless interpretations.  Perhaps it is due to the fact that since being back in our home and settled into the studio we have had daily experiences with the local deer. They are on the hillside, by the river, in the yard, and walking down the streets. When we first looked at this piece we saw the markings of a deer so just let those initial thoughts guide us. This is why this painting is titled Bucky in My Dreams
