About Chesterman Beach

When the fog rolls in Chesterman Beach becomes flat white. You can hear waves crashing but knowing whether the tide is in or out is a bit of mystery without consulting a tidal chart.  Finding the water is usually a sensory experience with wet feet being the first sign. Tide pools can fill and empty quickly leaving beachcombers stranded in tiny coves of silvery mussels and seaweed-laden rock.  This cozy cove revealed itself to us as the fog began to burn off in the afternoon sun.
