About Deer Parcel

When we pulled off the road leading to the cabin we noticed this small herd of deer grazing on the hillside in a stand of birch trees. They were marginally curious of us but more interested in foraging for food. It was the dead of winter and at this time of year, they frequent the area close to the river where the snow is less deep and potential food sources are more readily available. We thought it was particularly auspicious to spot the herd so close to the cabin. The symbolism of deer typically represents gentleness, awareness of surroundings, unconditional love, and mindfulness. It was a fitting start to our time at the cabin as we would practice these very things as we began our adventure ensconced in nature.
