About October Sky

Our family cabin is situated further north than our home. Whenever we stay there we notice a shift in the sunrise and sunset. One morning we were busy with our waking routines when Kupu looked up to see the first signs of daybreak. Pink hues began to fill the sky. We stopped what we were doing to head outside, trodding across the backwater island to the main river bank to catch the sunrise. On this special day, we were not disappointed as the pinks reflected off the smallest pools of water,  even the rocks seemed to glow in the crisp October morning light.
