About Pettinger Point

We were told to pack rain gear if we planned to be in Pacific Rim National Park during late September. Fully geared up we headed out on our first morning to stroll the beach and soak in our surroundings.  We were fully ensconced in fog as we felt our way down to the beach. Guided by rolling waves and the sound of sea birds we found a trail through the tall trees to the sand. The trees offered us protection and guidance as they so often do in coastal communities. Their appearance on this particular day provided depth and dimension to the otherwise thick blanket of grey that seemed to swallow the coastline.
