About Rundle Ripples

A sunny day in the Rocky Mountains makes for a spectacular 20 km bike ride along the Banff Legacy Trail. A short detour snakes through the town of Banff to the Fenland trailhead and Vermillion Lakes. The lakes sprawl out across the valley presenting Rundle mountain in all its glory. There are many spots along the way to capture uninterrupted views of the Rundle range. This painting was inspired by a photo taken from a small boat launch where we stopped for a water break to soak in the scene.
