“Salamas” captures the majestic presence of Indonesia’s second-highest volcano, its towering peak bathed in golden light as dawn breaks over Lombok. Wisps of mist curl around the crater rim, partially obscuring the shimmering blue lake within the crater. The painting’s brushstrokes define the rugged strength of the volcanic landscape while subtly hinting at its lush surroundings. Dark greens and earthy browns bring the slopes into focus, while the sky transitions from light indigo to a warm orange glow, evoking a sense of renewal.
