No matter where you are in Canmore it seems as though the Three Sisters are always watching over you. Pause and look up from nearly any vantage point to see and feel their omnipresence. We have taken many photos of Faith, Hope and Charity but the December morning we took the photo for this painting provided some unique challenges. Navigating the aftermath of an overnight bout of freezing rain made walking treacherous. So Kupu set out determined not to let the frozen roads deter her from some morning mountain photography. Sliding down the street in her winter boots to a section of trail that allowed her a distant glimpse of these glorious peaks! The crystalline air and lifting cloud revealed and then shrouded the peaks as she set about photographing while navigating the icy scene. We love this unique perspective of the Three Sisters, not dominant but ever-present.
